General Questions

  • Plan and reserve your move with us as early as possible for us to talk and adjust dates if necessary, and allow for proper packing and preparation. For local moves, booking 2–4 weeks in advance is enough. For long-distance or peak-season moves, it’s best to reserve 6–8 weeks ahead.

  • Our operating hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

  • Yes, you can start packing before your move. Group similar items together, like books in small boxes, electronics in medium boxes, and clothes or linens in larger boxes. Just keep each box under about 35 pounds. If you can lift it comfortably, it’s ready to go!

Pricing

  • Our hourly rates already cover moving, labor, and packing services, so you don’t have to worry about hidden costs. Packing materials, however, are billed separately based on what’s needed for your specific move.

  • The cost of your move with us depends on a few key factors, such as the distance to your new home, the size and weight of your belongings, and the timing of your move. Moves during peak seasons or weekends may cost more, but our team can help you plan to make your move smooth, efficient, and budget-friendly.

Moving Day

  • Our DMC team never expects tips, but they are always appreciated. If you feel satisfied with the care and effort our movers provide, tipping is a great way to show your appreciation for their hard work.

  • We do not transport items that are legally prohibited, such as explosives, ammunition, firearms, flammable materials, or poisonous substances. We also cannot move live animals, plants, or illegal drugs, especially when crossing state lines.

  • Yes, we offer professional disassembly and reassembly services for your furniture and equipment, including bed frames, to make your move easier and hassle-free.

  • We measure doorways and stairways, and if a bed or other large item won’t fit, our team carefully disassembles it before the move or onsite and reassembles it in your new home. But this may incur additional charges.

  • Yes, offers secure, climate-controlled car storage designed to protect your vehicle year-round. Our ground-level storage area is monitored 24/7 and features independent parking spaces, ensuring your vehicle is never moved without your permission.


    For electric vehicles, we also provide trickle chargers to maintain battery health during storage. In addition, we offer vehicle shipping services for clients who need transport to or from our facility.

  • Our warehouses are designed to keep your belongings safe, organized, and easy to access, whether for short-term or long-term storage.

Additional Services FAQ

  • On average, the entire process from booking to delivery takes 1- 14 days for domestic shipments within the United States. This includes 1- 5 days for scheduling and vehicle pickup, followed by 1 - 10 days for transit. Cross-country shipments (e.g., East Coast to West Coast) typically require 7 - 15 days, while shorter regional trips may conclude in 2 to 5 days.

  • We offer secure transport and real-time tracking of your classic or luxury cars. For storage, our private, climate-controlled car units are accessible 24/7, equipped with individual alarms, security cameras, and EV chargers. Each unit can fit up to 2 vehicles.


  • From artwork and glass pieces to family heirlooms and antiques, we’ll pack, crate, and wrap each item securely.

  • Our service doesn’t stop once the move is complete. We always follow up with our clients to ask if everything went smoothly and to see if there’s any way we can further assist our valued customers.

Insurance & Security

  • At DMC, we handle all service concerns and damage claims through email. Our team is led by the Associate in Charge and supported by our Accounting Department, which ensures every issue is reviewed and resolved as quickly as possible.

  • If any items are missing in our care, you may kindly submit a claim with a detailed list and supporting proof. Once reviewed and verified, we will offer an appropriate settlement.

    For any items that are damaged during the move, our in-house repair team will carefully assess and restore them. Should an item be beyond repair, DMC will replace it.

  • Any unfortunate damages caused on-site during installation will be documented, photographed, and processed for repairs immediately. We will work closely with the owner/designer to ensure a quick, satisfactory resolution. After your move, we’ll also follow up to hear about your experience and see if there’s anything more we can do to assist.


  • By California State Law, all Moves are covered "60 Cents Per Pound (lb)."  But, clients can pay for more insurance. Full Coverage is 3% of an Agreed Upon Valuation of Items.

Data Privacy Policy

  • We do not collect any data from our customers other than phone number, address, and e-mail for contact information.

  • We use your contact information solely to communicate with you about your moving services, send confirmations, provide updates, and respond to inquiries. We do not share your information with third parties for personal gain or other purposes.

  • Your personal information is securely stored in our online databases with restricted access. We use standard security measures to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse of your data.

  • By California State Law, all Moves are covered "60 Cents Per Pound (lb)."  But, clients can pay for more insurance. Full Coverage is 3% of an Agreed Upon Valuation of Items.
