Desert Moving Company History
In 1987, Daniel M. Sabo founded Desert Moving Company, and the organization managed its first move from Rancho Mirage to Palm Springs, California. Desert Moving began as a local moving company that managed household moves and deliveries for local families and businesses in the Desert Cities area.
In the 1990s, Desert Moving Company changed its name to Desert Moving Company & Storage to reflect its expansion into new services as a storage provider. The Desert Moving home facility grew from a 5,000 square foot building to a 15,000 square foot warehouse.
Further reflecting its rapid expansion and growth as an emerging leader in shipping and logistics, the company also added custom crating, freight distribution, and international overseas container shipments to its services. During this time, Desert Moving also earned recognition as the top regional hotel logistics provider for the hospitality industry.
